It is the policy of the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, Bennington School District, Inc., Mount Anthony Union School District, North Bennington Graded School District, Pownal School District, Shaftsbury School District, and Woodford School District boards (hereinafter “District”) to ensure all students in grade seven through grade twelve shall have a Personalized Learning Plan, which shall be a written document developed by the student, a representative of the school and, if the student is a minor, the student’s parent or legal guardian. The Personalized Learning Plan shall describe the scope and rigor of learning opportunities and support services necessary for the student to achieve college and career readiness prior to graduation, and to attain a high school diploma. This plan will be reviewed at least annually.
The Superintendent or his/her designee will develop administrative procedures to implement this policy that will specify a process for developing and managing students’ Personalized Learning Plans.
