QUALIFICATIONS – - Bachelor’s Degree in the related content area
- Eligible to hold Vermont Certification in Physical Education
Duties (include but are not limited to): - Demonstrate knowledge of subject(s) through instructional practices
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of learning goals
- Use assessment information to provide students with feedback, which is corrective and informative
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior conducive to an effective learning environment
- Develop written lesson plans in advance
- Direct and supervise the work of paraprofessionals, volunteers and student teachers assigned to the classroom
- Maintain productive lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning both the academic and social progress of all students
- Implement administrative directives in a professional manner (re: new programs and policies)
- Adhere to all District policies and regulations
