Home School Liaison (.45 FTE)

QUALIFICATIONS –

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree, and experience related to essential duties and responsibilities. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisor, staff and public. 
  • Must possess advanced accounting, financial and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to solve practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of non-standard situations. 


Duties (include but are not limited to):
  • Implement both individual and small groups of students to work on the development of social skills within the classroom. 
  • Participate as a member/chair of the Child Study Team. 
  • Work with other School-Community Liaisons within the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union as an “attendance committee” to develop and coordinate strategies for improving attendance. 
  • Be skilled in conducting pro-active parent contacts and providing family support. 
  • Establish contact with community agencies and service providers (DCF, private counselors, UCS, etc) 
  • Provide support and implement services written into 505, IEP, and Behavior Plans. 
  • Coordinate Family Nights. 
  • Work collaboratively with the CRG (Center for Restorative Justice), PTO/PTG (Parent Teacher Groups) and other organizations as necessary. 
  • Attend training as required. 
  • Adhere to all District policies and regulations. 
  • Perform such other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the supervisor may assign.
